Junior’s and Miniroos

Port Darwin FC are a family-oriented club dedicated to providing opportunities for kids to learn soccer, be active and have fun in a safe and inspiring environment.

 If you would like to meet new people and be part of an energetic and social community then PDFC is the club for you.

Port Darwin Football Club has been built on the back of our dedicated volunteers who volunteer their skills and time. When you volunteer for Port Darwin you become an integral part of the club. Your involvement has a direct positive impact on kids involvement in sport and contributes to their health and happiness. Who wouldn’t want to be part of that?!  Port Darwin has many members who started volunteering when their kids were in U6’s and are still volunteering and their kids are in U16s.  Volunteering not only enables our club to function, it also is the reason Port Darwin FC has such a strong community.

Any assistance you can offer in the following roles would be much appreciated:

· Coach

· Umpire

· Team Manager

· Club duty assistance

· Line marking

· First aid

· Serving at fundraising barbecues

Port Darwin Football Club has junior teams accommodate players from under 12 to under 16 age groups.

When online registrations open in late March notification will be posted to the Port Darwin FC website and also to the Facebook page @PortDarwinFootballClub

Here are the details you will need to kick off the year.

Location & Training

Miniroos – U6, U7,U8,U9,U10 & U11

Wednesday’s at Fannie Bay Oval 5-6pm.

Preseason Training

Juniors – U12’s, U14 & U16 

Thursdays at Fannie Bay Oval, 5-6pm.

During pre-season training coaches will be assessing the experience and skill level of players so they can be allocated to appropriate teams. This new grading process will not apply to the younger MiniRoos (U6,U7,U8) however it is being introduced this season for age groups U9 and up.

The number of teams we nominate in a season is determined by how many coaches we have.  Although we try to accommodate all those who register, we cannot guarantee places on teams.  In the event a position is not available a full refund of the registration fee will be given.

It is strongly advised that all players attend Tuesday’s training session and must be wearing appropriate attire including – soccer boots, shin pads, hat and have a bottle of water.

Club Fees & Registration

NTG Sports Vouchers can be used towards club membership fees. Bring your vouchers to pre-season training and give to one of the committee members. There are options in the registration packages for sports vouchers and the final payment amount will be automatically reduced on registration.

Miniroos U6-U11 – Registration includes playing socks, shorts and a training jersey

Juniors U12 – U20 – Registration includes playing socks, shorts and a training jersey

Games:
Games are played on Sunday mornings. There are 16 rounds in the season, usually with a short break over the June/July school holidays. Games are played on the following ovals – Bagot Park, Malak Oval, Gray Oval and Fred’s Pass. Players must arrive at games with a bottle of water and dressed in their Club issued shorts & socks, shin pads and soccer boots.

FFNT Code of Behaviour:
When you register to play with Port Darwin FC, you agree to FFNT’s Code of Behaviour. This document outlines the minimum standard of behavior for anyone involved in football – Players, Coaches, Parents, Spectators, Officials and Administrators. As a member of Port Darwin Football Club you will be expected to uphold these values at all times when representing the Club and/or the game of football (soccer).
